So, here we go! A natural wonder of the world and one of the items that I recently ticked off my bucket list. It encompasses more than 1,900 square miles and approximately 5 million people visit each year and I was lucky enough to be one of those persons.
Our evening adventure all began when we got picked up from our hotel in a luxury van with comfy chairs, iPads and of course greeted by the friendly driver who drove us on a 30 minutes scenic drive to Boulder City where the helicopter was waiting for us.
When we got to the heliport we were greeted by the friendly staff that quickly got us signed in and escorted us to the helicopter where we got to meet out pilot, Mike “Dr. Love”. It felt so good leaving the crowds and casinos behind and just lifting off, looking through the super-sized window as the desert landscapes moved quickly below us. While moving Dr. Love pointed out the various landmarks below and explained in detail. Flying over the Grand Canyon, sites were filled with multi-colored walls and a multitude of oranges and greens and pinks! It was breathtaking.
When we landed at the Canyon first order of business was to take pictures (of course). We took in the stunning scenery followed by yummy tapas and champagne. After 30 minutes we all boarded the helicopter just in time to enjoy the gorgeous sunset and magnificent views of the Canyon. This was truly an amazing experience from start to finish. SerenityHelicopters really took care of us. Ten out of ten, would recommend!
